District News

Thank you for taking the time to be interested in our school district.  I will be posting updates to the webpage throughout the school year.

Specifically, there are a number of posts that relate to the school construction project.  I have also included a link to a presentation about the school construction project, the Dell and Evelynn Carroll Scholarship and the District’s 1-1 initiative below.

We are very proud of our school district and the opportunities it provides to our students.  We are currently on a progressive path towards meeting the needs of the 21st century learner.  Our students are now able to go to school in modern state of the art buildings, use the latest technology and participate in many different opportunities.

In addition, the school district has been blessed with generosity from the community so that there are a number of scholarships available to our graduating seniors.  One of the most far substantial scholarships is the Dell and Evelyn Carroll Scholarship that pays for two years of tuition at Richland Community College for any recent student who has graduated Meridian High School with a 2.25 GPA.

It is an exciting time to be a part of the Meridian School District.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Dan Brue, Superintendent at 217-764-5269.
