In regular business, the Board approved the 2025 board meeting schedule. The Board also approved the 2024 tax levy and tax abatement resolutions. The Board approved membership into the Illinois 8-Man Football Association, which is a two-year commitment. The reason for the change from 11-man football to 8-man is that projected numbers for upperclassmen next year is four seniors and four juniors. Administration was fearful of potentially having to cancel all or some of the varsity football season. The goal for the program is to return to 11-man football after the two year commitment with the I8FA is fulfilled.
In personnel action, the Board approved the hiring of Jade Coffman as the middle school assistant volleyball coach and Riley Allen as an assistant football coach. Alyssa Holsapple was approved to cover a maternity for middle school girls track. Lastly, the Board approved a two-year contract extension for Superintendent, Shane Gordon.
