Today during Little Hawks Home Visits we read ‘There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed A Clover’ in preparation for St. Patrick’s Day on Thursday! After, the little ones enjoyed some sensory play digging for shamrocks, leprechaun hats, and gold.

The 3rd quarter lesson for all K-5 student's with Mrs. Rhodes was titled "Think before you Speak". We talked about how our words and actions impact others. We did the "Wrinkled Heart" activity. Each student was given a paper heart. We pretended it was the heart inside of us. Students gave examples of hurtful words and actions and with each example we put a fold in our hearts. Afterwards we opened our hearts, read the poems inside, and talked about how the wrinkles cannot be removed-that our words and actions can affect someone for their entire life. "Before you speak, think and be smart. It's hard to fix a wrinkled heart!"

Jump Rope for Heart starts Feb 25th, we will do everything on line this year. Thank you for your support.
