May Days

Our MES students are ALWAYS superheroes!
Third graders have been learning about different types of clouds. This week we went outside daily to view what type of clouds were in the sky and what type of weather they will bring!⛅️🌧️☀️
To wrap up their social studies chapter about making money choices, 3rd graders enjoyed a tour of the First National Bank in Blue Mound to learn about how banks work!
Second graders have been reading classic tales. They've been working story retelling and sequencing events from Jack and the Beanstalk.
Fourth graders have been reviewing coordinate planes. They created a "Battleship" type activity in which they had to hide their own candy then try to find each other's.
Meridian CUSD #15 welcomes Mr. David Graves as the district Athletic Director for the 2024-2025 school year. Mr. Graves will also serve as the high school head boys basketball coach.
Meridian Elementary School welcomes Mrs. Sarah Major as the principal for the 2024-2025 school year!

Staff had the opportunity to work with Dr. Todd Whitaker during his presentation, "What Great Teachers Do Differently." Dr. Whitaker is a nationally renowned educator and author of more than 60 books. Staff also received one of his books titled What Great Teachers Do Differently.
