MHS is so excited to announce that senior, Sara S, is one of the top ten essayists in this year's National Public Radio Illinois "This I Believe" essay program. Her essay, "I Believe in SpaghettiOs" was one of the many submissions in response to NPR Illinois' invitation to participate in the tradition started by NPR's radio program "This I Believe". Sara will be honored at the Meet the Authors program on November 6 at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield. Congratulations, Sara! We are so proud of you!!

Tonight, we congratulate our Volleyball seniors. Thank you for four years of hard work and dedication. We are proud of you Hayley, Layla, Emma and Ella. You will always be Meridian!

Congratulations to our senior band members, cheerleaders, & soccer players who were recognized at last night's football game!

We had a great Friday night under the lights! The Hawks got a big Homecoming win and we got to honor our seniors! Congratulations to our football players and Hawk!

A few shots of the new addition to Homecoming Week- men's volleyball! A great addition to the week. Also, congrats to our King and Queen, Will and Ysabella!

As a STEM activity, the Integrated Science students have been growing peas in potting soil and a Martian soil simulant to see if the peas would grow successfully on Mars. Students have been tracking data for two weeks and will submit a lab report of their findings

PSA- Tomorrow, October 9, is our Homecoming parade. The parade will leave from the high school at 5:30pm and make its way through Macon. Due to staging various groups and teams in the softball/football parking lot, we ask that you please not try and access the facilities via Macon Drive to the north. If you are dropping off a student, or parking for the parade, please use the south drive and park in one of the main high school lots or near the Ag building. This will help us to make sure we can easily get all groups out onto the parade route. Thank you!

Meridian High School is proud to recognize our senior soccer players and managers. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication to our Meridian Soccer team. We are proud of you all!

Just a reminder that Wednesday, October 2, is a 1:30 dismissal for students. Teachers will use this early out for curriculum development

Come out to Friday night's home football game and support our Meridian Music Boosters!

Today, MHS was proud to honor Nick and Wyatt on their Golf Senior Night. Thank you both for your dedication to MHS Golf and our school community. Best of luck to Nick, Wyatt and all of our Hawk golfers at IHSA Regionals this week!
