
Natalie V and Kynleigh G represented Meridian Middle School this morning when they competed in the 2025 Macon/Piatt 6th grade Contig tournament today. They both did a great job and were treated to Monical's pizza after!

The court yard was a popular place to be for lunch today. A lot of kids enjoyed the sunshine and nice weather!





The MMS Varsity Scholastic Bowl will complete in the IESA Regional Scholastic Bowl tournament on Wednesday, April 30 at Mt. Zion Junior High School. The schedule has been posted on the IESA website. Good luck to our Hawks!


School will resume tomorrow for the final stretch of the school year. 4th quarter midterm reports will be provided to students with below average grades in core subjects on Wednesday. With just 5 weeks of school left, make it a habit to check TeacherEase regularly to stay up-to-date with your child's academic performance. If you have any questions or concerns with a specific subject, please reach out to your child's teacher.
There will be a golf meeting with Coach Stielow during study hall on Thursday. Any current 8th grader interested in playing golf for the high school next year is encouraged to attend. Questions can be emailed to stielowp@meridianhawks.net.
The 2025 Macon/Piatt Contig Tournament will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at Mt. Zion Intermediate School. Good luck to our two 6th graders who will represent MMS - Natalie V and Kynleigh G! Braelynn H. is the alternate.

Midterm for the 4th quarter is this week! Midterm reports will be sent home with student receiving below average grades in core subjects on Wednesday, April 23. With the end of the school year right around the corner, please encourage your child to finish the year strong!
There is no school on Thursday, April 17, Friday, April 18, or Monday, April 21 for Spring break.

Due to the weather, tonight's track meet at Maroa Forsyth has been canceled. They will practice until 4:00 p.m.

The Hawks kicked off the track season last night with a home track meet. Congratulations to all of the track & field top performers! Weather permitting, the Hawks are scheduled to travel to Maroa Forsyth for today's track meet. Go Hawks!



We are proud of students like Karlee who worked hard, came to school prepared, and had a positive attitude during state testing!


Our students continue to show IXL growth in both math and ELA each month! Congratulations to our top leader board performers during the month of March!!



Our FFA will be hosting a plant sale the first two weekends of May. See the attached flyer with specific dates and times. This is a great opportunity to support the Meridian-Macon FFA chapter, purchase your spring flowers, and check out the Roberta K. Gorden Greenhouse!





Congratulations to 7th grader, Ella H., on her performance of Homeward Bound at the IESA Solo & Ensemble competition at Argenta Oreana on Saturday. Not only did Ella receive a perfect score on her solo , but she was also recognized by the IESA as "Best of Day" vocal soloist for our area! Outstanding job!!!




Congratulations to our 8th grade FFA members who received the Discovery FFA Degree at tonight's FFA banquet. We were very fortunate to expand the Meridian-Macon FFA to include 8th graders this year, and we look forward to more growth & success in the future. Thank you to Miss Harp & Mr. Brockett for all you do for these students!


Elective information and request form will be emailed to current 6th and 7th graders on Monday. Please have a conversation with your child about which elective is the best option prior to submitting.
8th graders will take the ISA test during science class on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.
Students who were on 3rd quarter Principal's List will be treated to donuts & juice before school on Wednesday.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions all MMS Track meet have been canceled today.


Good morning, Meridian Middle School Track parents and community members. Today we will be hosting the MMS Track meet at Meridian High School starting at 4:00pm. Please come out and support our track athletes.


MMS PE classes had a school tournament to conclude the Pickleball unit last month. Congratulations to the Pickleball Champions (Jackson M. & Jaxson C.) and the 2nd place team (Maggie S. & Alex K.)! Both teams received a pickleball tournament shirt made by the MHS Entrepreneurship class!




We had 87 students with perfect attendance during the month of March!! They will receive a treat during the lunch period on Friday as we continue to make attendance a priority during this last quarter of school!


Congratulations to the varsity scholastic bowl team for their third place finish in the Okaw Conference tournament this week!
