FILING PERIOD FOR MERIDIAN CUSD #15 SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES
Nominating petition forms for the April 1, 2025 school board election in Meridian CUSD #15 are available. Forms may be picked up in the unit office located at 728 S. Wall St., Macon or at the Macon County Clerk’s office.
The first day candidates can circulate nominating petitions is August 20, 2024.
School board candidate’s petition must be filed at the Macon County Clerk’s office, 141 S Main St., Decatur Rm. 104, beginning Tuesday, November 12, 8:00 a.m. and no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2024. Petitions will not be accepted at the school district office.
Four seats on the seven-member board of education will be filled at the April 1 election. Candidates elected will serve a four-year term expiring in April, 2029.
The elementary teachers had a sneak peak of the new elementary STEM lab! They had to design and build a machine with a pulley that would lift an object 12".

This weekend, Meridian High School's very own, Lauren Doyle, begins another pursuit for an Olympic medal with her USA Women's Rugby teammates. I cannot express enough, how proud we are that Lauren represents our community on one of the grandest sport stages of all nor how proud we are of Lauren. Best of luck during these Olympic Games- the Hawks are always cheering for you!
The 7th & 8th grade bands will be returning to Busch Stadium on Sunday, September 8 to perform at the Cardinals vs. Mariners game! As a fundraiser for the Music Boosters, this is a fun opportunity to support the MMS music program while also enjoying some baseball with Meridian fans. The ticket cost is $35 and includes a free jumbo hot dog and soda! To purchase tickets, email Mr. Edwards (edwardsc@meridianhawks.net) or Becca Kraft (rkraft2008@gmail.com) by Tuesday, August 20.
