The MMS boys will play tonight's home basketball games in the Meridian Elementary School gym (Blue Mound). The 7th grade game will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the 8th grade game to follow. Please note that concessions will not be available. Go Hawks!
8th grade cheerleader, Alayna Bickel, traveled to Philadelphia, PA over Thanksgiving break to perform with other All American Cheerleaders from around the country in the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Congratulations, Alayna!

The Meridian Art Club just finished creating a mural at The Man Cave Barber Shop in Macon. The design was created by Charlotte Pritts and painted by Charlotte Pritts, Grace Moyer, Olivia Henderson, Mckynlee Kapchinske, Kyra Dunn, Summer Deadmond, and Destiny Marquis. Mrs. Perrey’s club did a great job!

To go along with today's writing prompt, Miss Comerford's English class invited a few of our playoff-bound high school football players in to help decorate pumpkins. It's fun to see the two buildings work together to show school spirit. Go Hawks!

The Student Council-sponsored Halloween dance will take place tomorrow evening (Friday) from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. This dance is for Meridian Middle School students only and guests are not welcome to attend. Students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and medical face masks are required. Entry is free, but please plan to bring money for the concession stand, picture opportunity, and costume contest. Small bills are encouraged! Rides should be at MMS promptly at 9:00 p.m.
Students are encouraged to dress up during the week of October 25 for Red Ribbon Week.

Tomorrow's GBB game against Sullivan has been postponed (October 12). The game was rescheduled to Monday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m. at home.
The girls' basketball games scheduled for tomorrow (10/9) against Nokomis have been postponed.
Tomorrow (Friday) is an early dismissal. MMS students will be dismissed at 11:10 a.m. and should have transportation arrangements made prior to arriving at school. We DO have school on Monday, October 11 (Columbus Day).

Did you know that socks are one of the items needed most in the homeless community around the United States? During the month of October, MMS Student Council will be hosting a Socktober Sock Drive to benefit the Northeast Community Fund. New socks can be dropped off in Mrs. Moyer's room between October 1 - 29. Thank you in advance for contributing to this annual drive!
