6th & 7th gr Awards Night- Thursday May 16 7 pm Auditorium. Invitation letters sent to students/parents if receiving and Academic Award. Students and parents should plan to attend this special recognition evening.
Applications for Student Council officer positions are now available in the office and in Mrs. McGuire's room. Applications are due to Mrs. McGuire by Wednesday, May 15. The election will take place electronically during Study Hall on Friday, May 17. Current 6th grade students can run for either Vice President or Secretary. Current 7th grade students can run for either President or Treasurer. Students do not currently have to be in Student Council to run for an officer position for the 2019-2020 school year.
Is your 7th grade student interested in going to Washington DC next year? There will be an informational meeting after the 6th & 7th grade Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 16th in the auditorium. Information will be sent home with all 7th grade students prior to the meeting. The Illinois Assessment of Readiness Testing (IAR) begins on Tuesday March 19 for Middle School students. Testing schedule provided with the last Newsletter for students; all students mus have earbuds/headphones for testing days (wireless earbuds not permitted).
Pennies for Patients Drive to collect spare change from now until March 19. Charitable proceeds benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and their research/treatment efforts for blood related cancers that affects children. Please donate & donate again!!

The Student Council sponsored Valentine's Day dance is Friday, February 18 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the MMS gym. The dance is for MMS students only. There will be concession items and pictures available to purchase. All items are $1.00 so smaller bills are appreciated!
