Go Hawks!

We are excited to have Mrs. E Moyer take on a new role this year as our 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher. She will also be the director of the MMS Drama Club. We have been lucky to have Mrs. Moyer as our RTI aide and involved with various student groups the last few years, and we are looking forward to having her transition into this certified role! She has been busy getting her new classroom ready and preparing for the upcoming school year.
Next time you see Mrs. Moyer, make sure to congratulate her on this new position!

We'd like to welcome Dr. Raymond as our new MMS/MHS band teacher! Dr. Raymond comes to Meridian with a lot of excitement and energy for the upcoming school year. When not teaching or spending time with his family, he can be found playing the bassoon with various groups in the area. Make plans to attend the home football games this fall to support the Hawks and catch Dr. Raymond & the MHS marching band in action.
When you see Dr. Raymond, make sure to welcome him to the Meridian district!

Next time you see Mrs. Comerford, make sure to congratulate her on this new position!

As the new Meridian Athletic Director, Mr. Britton hit the ground running this summer to make sure all of our teams are ready for their upcoming seasons. In his new district role, he looks forward to focusing on athlete development, competitive excellence, and community engagement. Mr. Britton is a huge supporter of our Hawks, and we are thrilled to have him take the lead as our athletic director!
Next time you see him, make sure to congratulate Mr. Britton on his new role!

When the building opens back up in August, we will have a new face in our front office. We'd like to welcome Mrs. Helfer as our secretary! While she is not new to the district, we are thrilled to have her join us at Meridian Middle School for the upcoming school year! Seeing a familiar smiling face will definitely make the transition to middle school that much easier for our incoming 6th graders. Mrs. Helfer can be reached at helferm@meridianhawks.net or by calling the office at 217-764-3367.
Make sure to stop by the office to welcome Mrs. Helfer and congratulate her on her new position when you see her!

The initial school supply list had a typo that probably made you question what type of earbuds are needed for next year. MMS students need WIRED earbuds (not wireless or Bluetooth). They don't need anything fancy, and we ask that AirPods (and other valuable gadgets) be left at home!
