As a reminder, a State of Illinois health physical, Immunizations, and a dental exam is required for our 6th graders. The State of Illinois health physical will work as the athletic physical for those students interested in participating in sports this year (the IESA sports physical does not work as the health physical). If you haven't made appointments yet, please do so to ensure the necessary paperwork is on file with Mrs. Enlow by the given dates! Registration for this upcoming school year is now open on TeacherEase! When you log in to your parent account, you will immediately be prompted to complete the registration documents for each student. The baseball season will kick off for our Hawks tomorrow with a pre-season camp from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Snitker Field. Team tryouts are scheduled for August 4 & 5 at 2:45 p.m. The Hawks will host Nokomis on Wednesday, August 13 at 4:15 p.m. for their season opener. **Softball tryout update for June 30**
Tryouts will conclude at 5:00 p.m. The girls will be finished after they individually meet with the coaching staff.
Last year the school took a look at the possible football numbers for the 2025 season. The numbers were lower than desired. To lower the risk of cancelling a season, we took a pro-active step in joining the 8-man football league. The coaching staff and players have worked hard in the off-season and are ready to tackle a new year with a new format. The links below are examples of what 8-man will look like. Please make plans to support our football team this season!

The MMS and MHS choirs will be performing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at Busch Stadium before the St. Louis Cardinals game on Wednesday, September 17. This is a day game scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m. It's not too late to purchase tickets to support the Meridian Music Department. To order tickets, email Mr. Anderson at andersonj@meridianhawks.net.
The girls basketball season will kick off on Monday, September 15, and we are still in need of a head basketball coach. If you know someone who may be interested, please have them reach out to mcguirem@meridianhawks.net.

Because of the predicted heat, tryouts will take place from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Please send a jug of water with your athlete!
Online registration through TeacherEase will open for returning students on Monday, August 4. The building will also be open until school starts during office hours (8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.). Students are welcome to come in to drop off school supplies, practice locker combinations, and follow class schedules.

We'd like to welcome Mrs. Pramuk as our MMS/MHS RTI aide for the upcoming school year! Mrs. Pramuk has been a devoted substitute teacher for Meridian for many years and has raised her girls in the district, so she will certainly not be a new face in the hallways. We are lucky to having her join our staff full time this year and are looking forward to seeing the impact she has on our kids in this role!
Next time you see Mrs. Pramuk, make sure to congratulate her on her new position at Meridian!
